In this article, we will show you new ways to interact with your followers and build a deeper relationship with the people you follow on Instagram. You can now use the questions sticker to connect at the moment with your followers on Live or for music recommendations in your Stories.
You will also notice a new interactive sticker in Instagram Stories that lets you count down to exciting moments together with your audience.
Connect through music on Instagram stories
Now, your followers can answer your questions sticker with a song from the music library, and you can share your favorite musical replies to your story. Whether you want new jams to get into the holiday mood, or new songs to get you through some hard times, your Instagram friends can now help you find the perfect tracks.
You will notice the new music icon when you use the questions sticker on your story. As your friends respond, they can pick a song directly from the Instagram music library to share with you. You can open the viewer’s list to view all their responses and tap the play button to listen to their songs. You can capture a photo or video while sharing your favorite answers as the music plays in the background.
You’ll also observe new effects on the Instagram camera that respond to the beats and tones of a song. To try the new camera effects, swipe to “Music” in the camera section, and you’ll find the new icons above the capture button. The music features will be rolling out on the latest version of Instagram for Android and iOS starting today in areas where Instagram’s music library is currently available.
Connect through live on Instagram stories
You can also use the question sticker in your Live video, which makes asking questions more interactive and exciting. You can ask your favorite beauty blogger how to do their holiday makeup look, and they can provide you for a how-to at the moment.
To ask a question on Instagram and have it answered Live, go to someone’s story and respond to their questions sticker as you usually would. If they go Live to explain, you’ll find a “Q&A” in your stories tray. Join their Live video, and see the question they are answering at that moment. If you want to ask more questions while they’re LIVE, you can head back to their story to ask a question, and it will show up in their questions list. Users going LIVE can also share pictures and videos from their camera roll to their Live video, so you can see behind-the-scenes content from the influencers you love.
Questions in Live will be rolling out on the latest version of Instagram for Android and iOS starting today, and the ability to share pictures and videos in Live is available for broadcasters on iOS and viewers on both iOS and Android.
